Former Chairman Pakistan Poultry Association (PPA) Dr Aslam on Thursday said that there was no threat of bird flu outbreeak in the country at present Talking to a private television channel he said isolated incidents take place in all across the world and Pakistan was not an exception.
He said reports about the presence of virus in small sheds in NWFP appeared in newspapers but the people should not panic on these reports. He said no outbreak of bird flu has so far been reported in any part of the country and there is no problem in eating chicken meat. The situation is being monitored and all precautionary measures are being taken to prevent any untoward situation, he said.
