The profit after tax of Bata Pakistan Limited has increased to Rs 84.091 million in the half year period, ending June 30 as compared to Rs 17.478 million earned in the corresponding period last year. The earning per share of the company surged to Rs 11.12 in the period under review against Rs 2.31 in the same period last year.
In an information to the Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE), Bata stated that the company's net sales increased to Rs 1,617.550 million in the half year period in 2007 against Rs 1,243.777 million in the same period last year. The company's profit before tax stood at Rs 126.429 million in the half year period against Rs 27.507 million earned in the same period last year.
