The Accountability Court Rawalpindi would issue arrest warrants of former prime minister and PML (N) leader Nawaz Sharif and his family members on their return to Pakistan.
The Accountability Court No 4, Rawalpindi on Saturday resumed the hearing of three corruption references including Hudaibiya Paper Mill, Ittefaq Foundry and Raiwind Real Estate against Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif and their other family members.
Judge of the Accountability Court Khalid Mehmood started the hearing of three references in which Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif, Abbas Sharif, their father late Mian Sharif and other members of the family have been nominated.
After brief hearing the court adjourned the hearing till September 7. Zulfiqar Ahmed Bhutta, the Deputy Prosecutor General of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) pleaded before the court that the name of Mian Muhammad Sharif, father of Nawaz Sharif should be removed from the references as he has passed away.
The court has accepted the plea of the NAB prosecutor and removed the name of Mian Muhammad Sharif from the three references. The court in brief hearing issued orders in view of the Supreme Court decision that arrest warrants against Nawaz Sharif and his family members should not be issued until their return.
