Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 128,114 tonnes cargo including 84,943 tonnes import, 43,171 tonnes export cargo and 4,663 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The cargo comprised of 81,914 tonnes dry cargo including 51,341 tonnes general cargo; 30,573 tonnes bulk cargo and 46,200 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Five ships sailed out to sea during the report period. Six vessels are currently at the berths. Five ships expected to sail on Tuesday, while six vessels are expected to sail on Wednesday. Six vessels due to arrive on Tuesday, while eleven ships are due to arrive on Wednesday.

The cargo comprised of 12,348 tonnes diesel oil; 9,367 tonnes chemicals; 4,963 tonnes rape seeds 6,327 tonnes coal and 33,643 tonnes containerised cargo. Two ships namely MT Keefan and MT Chemstar Brave sailed out to sea during last 24 hours.
Two vessels viz CV MSC Dymphna and CV Maersk Virginia are expected to sail on Tuesday afternoon. A total of four ships namely Emirates Adam, Nedlloyd Europa, Safaga and Vema Ocean carrying containers, cement and diesel oil are currently at the outer anchorage.
Eight vessels viz CV MSC Dymphna, CV Maersk Virginia, MV Anna'a, MV Artic Voyager, MT Chemstar Brave, MT Keefan, MT Ben Aicha and MV Iguana are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rape seeds, diesel oil, chemicals and coal respectively during last 24 hours.
Three vessels viz CV Emirates Adam, CV Nedlloyd Europa and MT Vema Ocean due to take berths at Container Terminal and FOTCO Terminal respectively on Tuesday. Seven vessels viz CV Pacheco, CV MSC Lucia, CV Lucien, CV ACX Plumeria, MT Sinar Agra, MT Stolt Courage, MT Samho Cygnus and MV Effy-N due to arrive on Tuesday, while three more ships namely CV Al-Wajba, CV MSC Zanzibar and MV Trustful are due to arrive on Wednesday.
