Punjab Minister for Culture, Chaudhry Shaukat Ali Bhatti has assured that prices of daily use commodities and eatables will be kept stable during Ramazan-ul-Mubarak. He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting of District Price Control Committee Hafizabad, Thursday.
He said that on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi all eatables would be available at concessional rates in special bazars,as well as Friday and Sunday bazars under Ramazan package, stated a handout.
The minister directed the District Nazim and concerned officers to undertake unannounced visits to Ramazan bazaars and initiate strict action against profiteers. Chaudhry Shaukat Ali said that with the co-operation of concerned nazims security measures would be ensured for the masses.
He further said that police and private security guards would be deployed outside mosques and imambargahs during Ramazan. "Police has been directed to ensure every possible step to check terrorism during namaz and taravee. Police officers and Nazims would continue to visit sensitive points time and again to check security measures", he observed.
