The Minister of State for Religious Affairs, Dr Abdul Qadir Khanzada held a meeting with officers of research department of the ministry on Thursday The Minister directed to shift the library from Haji Camp, Rawalpindi, to Islamabad as most of the officials felt inconvenience to visit it for religious study.
He informed the meeting that of the ministry officials should have a command over Islamic knowledge to come up with concrete arguments on issues being debated across the world. Qadir stressed on research activity among the Islamic scholars and asked to hold Seerat Conferences in provinces.
He also announced that the government would consult with the Ulemas and scientists so as people across the country observe Islamic festivals on a unanimously decided day. Later, the Director General Dr Habibur Rehman briefed the Minister about the functioning of research department.
