Ban on private matric science students lifted

The Punjab Education Department has lifted a ban from private students to appear in the Matric examinations with science subjects and concerned quarters have been directed to issue a notification.
Education Minister Mian Imran Masood told a delegation of the All Pakistan Private Schools Welfare Association headed by its Central President, Syed Zulqarnain Shah. Masood said chairmen of all eight educational boards of the Punjab had been informed about the lifting of this ban and necessary instructions issued to them. He said that they have also been directed to accept admission forms of private Matric students accordingly.
It may be mentioned here that earlier Education Minister had lifted the said ban two times for one year, on temporary basis. Shah welcomed the government's decision of allowing private students permanently and termed it a positive step. He said, "it's a proof of government's education friendly policy and it will also be helpful to fulfil the chief minister's dream of 'Parha Likha Punjab'."
