The Speaker, National Assembly, Chaudhry Amir Hussain has said that Pakistan has adopted far-reaching approach to improve and strengthen strong jovial relations with all its neighbouring countries in South Asia.
Talking to the newsmen on Sunday he said that the steps had been taken for sustainable peace in South Asia and Pakistan was enjoying friendly relations with all the countries. Pakistan was negotiating with India on various issues that would help maintaining peace in the region on permanent basis.
Hussain observed that the district governments besides helping people to resolve problems at local level had completed record development works including mega projects.
Also, local bodies system was successfully functioning and rendering laudable services to provide timely relief as well as resolving longstanding problems at local level, he said.
The NA speaker revealed that government had formulated a strategy fof introducing Vocational and Technical education for producing maximum technical skills among the people.
The government was aiming to maximise skilled hands in various trade fields as well as reducing the unemployment ratio, added he stating that induction of trained and semi skilled persons in industrial sector would not only help improve the quality of products but also reduce the unemployment in the country.
Referring to basic facilities he said, for the first time in the history of the country the provision of electricity, sui gas, telecommunication, health, means of communication and education had been ensured in downtrodden rural area of the country.
