03 Sep, 2007

Unscheduled load shedding of electricity is gravely affecting industrial productivity as well as export orders' commitment. Talking to reporters President Sukkur Chamber and Commerce and Industries (SCCI), Iqbal Dawood Pakwal said that the process of manufacturing of various export items encompassed long period of time.
He said that the unscheduled and prolong loadshedding gravely affecting the production process besides rendering the timely completion of export orders difficult.
He further pointed out that many factories located at Sukkur site areas were facing 6-8 hours continuous load shedding and their business was being severely affected.
He urged upon the HESCO authorities to minimise the load shedding process through proper planning and appropriate load management so that industrial manufacturing activity was not disrupted.
