Two alleged dacoits were caught by villagers while their third accomplice managed to escape near here on Sunday. According to police, three bandits were looting motorists by erecting barricades on a canal bridge near Chini Goth. They snatched Rs 20,000 from a cattle dealer Shakeel Ahmed.
Meanwhile, a pickup carrying cattle was going there when bandits signalled the driver to stop the vehicle but he accelerated it. The outlaws, however, chased the vehicle and burst its tyres. On receiving information, Tranda Muhammad Pinah police reached there. Seeing police, the criminals jumped into the canal, upon which, the villagers who were chasing the criminals caught two of them identified as Riaz Ahmed and Qazi while their accomplice managed to flee. The villagers handed over both the outlaws to police.
