The newly formed Ministry of Ports & Shipping, about 3 years back, is full of controversy/scandals, be it recurring fire in PNSC building, collapse of 8 berths in Karachi Port, allotment of industrial lands in Port Qasim, impromptu inauguration of Gwadar Port on 23/3, which is still lying idle/neglected with no proper staffing or operation.
Personal secretaries and pros representing Pakistan at international forums. Free media has highlighted the above issues and have recently forced the government to disband the probe committee on non-professionals in case of KPT and PNSC.
The bureaucrats are waiting for change to settle the score. It is requested that President and PM may take cognisance of above irregularities and embezzlement in the ministry and it organisation as in the case of probe committees, otherwise we may be compelled to seek assistance of Supreme Court to recover losses of Tasman Spirit oil spill which the ministry has failed to recover from owners due to their infighting and lethargy causing loss of minimum 3/4 billion USD. The state of affairs is giving bad name to government for which it may not be responsible.
