'Motochallenge' launched

06 Sep, 2007

Motorola Inc a global leader in wireless communications has announced the launch of the great 'Motochallenge'. A program for school children and any individual, who would like to take up the challenge and make a difference in people's lives.
The company has called all schools to a "Race to Recycle" challenge, which is a fun, first of its kind fund-raising program for all accredited schools in the US. With Motorola's help, schools can earn extra cash and do their part for the environment - getting old mobile phones out of closets and kitchen drawers and into the recycling bin - for a continued ecofriendly existence. Anyone can participate in the program, even if you're not part of a school organisation.
"It's a wonderful way of involving school children to understand the challenges of keeping the environment friendly and how the recycling of used mobile phones can actually make a difference in our lives. Motorola continues to inspire people from all walks of life to a world of seamless mobility, in as much as in social responsibility" said Sarim Alvi, Director Sales and Marketing, Mobile Devices, Motorola Pakistan.
Printable pre-paid postage shipping labels are available to you, your company, or organisation for participation. A portion of the proceeds generated from contributed intact cell phones will be distributed to schools participating in the "Race to Recycle" program. Pre-paid postage packets are also included with many of Motorola's new mobile phone models, making it easy to place the old mobile in the envelope and drop the package in the mail for delivery to a recycling center.-PR
