Thai share prices closed 0.57 percent lower on Thursday as investors locked in profits in banking and energy stocks, dealers said. They said the market was also sluggish due to a lack of fresh leads, bucking a firm regional market.
The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) composite index fell 4.68 points to 809.82 and the blue chip SET 50 index lost 3.55 points to 584.60. Losers led gainers 196 to 95, with 140 stocks unchanged on turnover of 1.38 billion shares worth 11.4 billion baht (333 million dollars).
