On Friday, the BRIndex30 opened at 13,778.55, in the red zone and closed at 13,513.50, registering a net negative change of -280.95 points, or -2.04 percent. It experienced intra-day high of 13,814.03 and low of 13,480.43. The volume amounted to 123,521,900 shares, which was 72.74 percent of market total and 92.93 percent of KSE-100 index.
The volumes of KSE All Share and KSE-100 were 169,814,200 and 132,924,800 shares, respectively. BR Cement Index was the most active sector. It closed at 1,746.52 with a net negative change of -12.58 points and percentage change of -0.72. The volume was 46,841,200 shares.
BR Commercial Banks Index was the second most active sector. It closed at 5,390.23 with a net negative change of -145.44 points and percentage change of -2.63. The turnover for this sector was 33,807,600 shares.
BR Oil and Gas Index was the third most active sector. It closed at 2,003.40 with a net negative change of -17.33 points and percentage change of -0.86. The volume was 27,128,100 shares.
BR Tech. & Comm. Index closed at 1,688.23 with a net downward change of -12.64 points and percentage change of -0.74. The volume of this sector was 12,414,100 shares. BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 1,314.94 with a downward change of -4.74 points and percentage change of -0.36. The turnover for this sector was 4,257,000, which was lowest among BR Indices.
