PPP always played dual game: PML leader

09 Sep, 2007

Provincial Minister for Communication and Works and Pakistan Muslim League (PML) General Secretary Chaudhry Zaheer-ud-Din Khan has said history is witness to the fact that the People's Party has always adopted a dual policy to come into power and even today PPP leadership is looking for shortcuts to power as it realises that it has no political support.
He said here on Saturday that the founder of PPP Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, in his lust of power, raised the slogan of 'Udhar Tum - Idhar Hum' which caused an irreparable damage to the country. He said had the majority party given power at that stage, the history of the country would have been different today.
He said that Benazir Bhutto is also looking for a deal to achieve power whereas people are fully aware of her track record. He said that the memory of people is not so short as to forget the corruption and mal-practices of Asif Ali Zardari, which earned him the title of Ten Percent. He said that how can Benazir raise the slogan of 'Go Musharraf Go', strike a deal with President Musharraf.
