Nine members of SCBA body 'suspend' Munir

Nine members of the executive committee of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) unanimously 'suspended' Munir A. Malik as president of the SCBA through a resolution in a meeting held here on Sunday.
The resolution said that next senior most vice president of the association as per rules would act as President of the SCBA for the remaining period (Till October 31, 2007). According to the resolution, the meeting was presided over by Abdullah Khan Kakar, which was attended by Haji Muhammad Rafi Siddiqui, Rizwan Ahmed Siddiqui, Amanat Ali Bokhari, Tariq Bilal, Sardar Muhammad Ghazi, Qamar Zaman Qureshi, Mian Yousaf Umar and Muhammad Pervaiz Khan Tanoli.
The members accused Munir A. Malik of playing in the hands of politicians for his 'personal gains' by exploiting the office of the president of the lawyer community.
