Pakistan Horticulture Development and Export Board (PHDEB) will set up three date processing plants in the country at a cost of Rs 60 million. PHDEB Chief Operating Officer Muhammad Iqbal told a private television channel that those plants would be set up in Dera Ismail Khan, Khairpur and Turbat.
He further said that those plants would help facilitate international standard processing of fresh dates for promotion of its exports.
