SCBA condemns Shujaat's statement against judiciary

The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has condemned a statement made by Chaudhry Shujjat Hussain against the judiciary and warned the government officials to stop making such kinds of statements in the future.
While commenting over the statement of Chaudhry Shujjat SCBA office bearers Zulfiqar Bokhari, Sahibzada Anwar Hameed and others said the government should not undermine the judiciary, adding that the bar and its members would protect the judiciary as they did in past. They said lawyers would oppose the re-election of President General Musharraf and would give court arrest on the day he would file his nomination papers. The lawyers would also hold protest meetings, rallies and observe strike.
They said that the lawyers are ready to fight against the illegal actions of the government and re-election of General Musharraf. They called upon the people of all sections of society to come out of their house and joined the lawyers in protest against the government to outs the present rulers from the power corridors. They also condemned the action of the government to send Imran Khan back and arrest his party workers.
