Karachi University condemns attack on bus

The University of Karachi (KU) has vehemently condemned the attack on a passenger bus outside one of its main gates on Thursday evening and expressed deep sense of shock and sorrow over the killing of students. The Media Adviser to the Vice Chancellor of Karachi University, Professor Inam Bari Jafri stated this on Friday.
He said that a condolence meeting held in the office of the Vice Chancellor, KU, Professor Dr Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqi on Friday morning. Professor Bari said that the meeting demanded a judicial probe into the unfortunate and dastardly act and called upon the local administration to beef up the security around the university campus and elsewhere in the city so that such brutal acts do not reoccur.
The Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr Akhlaq Ahmad, the Registrar, Professor Rais Alvi, deans of faculties and some senior professors and staff members were present at the meeting. The meeting condoled with the parents and other family members of the deceased students and offered fateha for the departed souls and prayed Allah Almighty to rest them in the eternal peace.
