The Karachi Port handled 90,088 tonnes cargo including 71,510 tonnes import, 18,578 tonnes export cargo and 2,934 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Tuesday.
The cargo comprised of 52,922 tonnes dry cargo including 37,829 tonnes general cargo; 3,005 tonnes fertiliser; 3,158 tonnes coal; 8,237 tonnes cement; 693 tonnes rice and 37,166 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Six ships namely Salina, Jitar Bhum, Captain Mustafa, OEL Trust, PAC Antlia and Uraus-7 sailed out to sea during the report period.
Seven vessels viz Hansa Century, Sinar Bintan, Kapitan Byankin, Wan Hai-301, PAC Antlia, Navios Hios and Trogir are currently at the berths. Three ship namely Aegean Tiger, Kapitan Byankin and Wan Hai-301 expected to sail on Tuesday, while another vessel viz Hansa Century is expected to sail on Wednesday. Six vessels viz Stolt AMI, Formosa Product Alpine, Santos-C, Diamond Park, YM Moon and Lucky Arrow are due to arrive on Wednesday.
The cargo comprised of 42,883 tonnes diesel oil; 9,507 tonnes rape seeds; 10,285 tonnes coal; 13,950 tonnes coke and 33,405 tonnes containerised cargo. Two ships namely MT Eastern Bright and MT Vema Ocean sailed out to sea during last 24 hours.
Three vessels viz CV MSC Brianna, CV Maersk Iowa and MT Formosa Product Brick are expected to sail on Tuesday.
A total of eight ships namely Maersk America, MSC Agata, Norfolk Express, Warbah, Bow Viking, Team Al-Emirates, Sigas Silvia and Powerful carrying containers, diesel oil, edible oil, cement, LPG and seeds are currently at the outer anchorage.
Seven vessels viz CV MSC Brianna, CV Maersk Iowa, MV Arbalist, MV Eleoussa, MT Formosa Product Brick, MV Young Tong Hai and MV Carola are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, coal, rape seeds, diesel oil and coke respectively during report period.
Four vessels viz CV Maersk America, Norfolk Express, Bow Viking and MT Warbah due to take berths at Container Terminal, Multipurpose Terminal and FOTCO Terminal respectively on Tuesday. Four vessels viz CV Pacheco, MT Victory Ocean, MT Oriental Miho and MT Yanaseni due to arrive on Tuesday, while another ship namely CV ACX Tsubaki is due to arrive on Wednesday.
