A four-member delegation of Higher Education Commission (HEC) is leaving for Beijing on September 24, to attend the first meeting of the joint working group constituted to frame modalities for setting up Pak-China University (PCU) of Engineering, Science and Technology.
The HEC delegation will be comprised of Dr Khalid Shad, Dr Riazul Haq, Dr Qamarul Islam and Ehmer Rafi. President of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunication (BUPT) and vice-chancellor designated by BUPT for the PCU of Engineering, Science and Technology, Dr Lin Jintong had invited the HEC delegation, sources in the HEC told Business Recorder here on Wednesday.
It may be mentioned that the Pak-China University (PCU) of Engineering Science and Technology (S&T) will be set up with an estimated cost of Rs 30 billion. China would extend all out assistance to Pakistan in developing master plan, design, planning about faculty of the university.
