Punjab Minister for Colonies Mian Manazar Ali Ranjha has said that process of allotment of state land to the landless farmers would remain continue and more plots of 5-Marla would be distributed among the shelterless people.
While talking to different delegations here on Thursday, Ranjha apprised that state land is being retrieved from the "Qabza Mafia" and given to the deserving ones. He added that on the directions of Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi more than 100,000 acres of land has been distributed among the landless farmers and 114,296 plots of 5-Marla have also been allotted to the shelterless people.
The minister said that the present government believes in serving the masses and this policy will continue till the provision of land to everyone. He added that record development projects have been completed in the Punjab during the present regime. In the history of the province the first time Colonies Department prepared a directory of state land, which has completed record of state land He said that state land retrieved from the "Qabza Groups" would be distributed among the landless farmers and more than 150,000 plots of 5-Marla will be distributed among the shelterless people.
