Fast bowling discovery Morne Morkel has been included in the South African squad that will play two Test matches in Pakistan next month. The tall Morkel, 22, has been South Africa's best bowler in the World Twenty20 tournament with eight wickets in four matches at an average of 11.00.
Morkel played in one Test against India last season as an injury replacement. He joins fellow fast bowlers Makhaya Ntini, Shaun Pollock, Dale Steyn and Andre Nel in the touring squad. The only uncapped player in a 14-man party is left-handed batsman Jean-Paul Duminy. The team leaves for Pakistan Tuesday, the day after the World Twenty20 final.
After a three-day warm-up match in Karachi starting September 27 they will play Tests against Pakistan in Karachi from October 1 to 5 and Lahore from October 8 to 12. South Africa's squad for a five one-day internationals following the Test series will be announced after the Twenty20 tournament.
