PTCL carrying out repair work of damaged lines

Pakistan Telecommunication Limited (PTCL) is carrying out repair work of PTCL lines that were cut down by thieves after breaking manhole cover of the cable near Rado Centre in a bid to steal the cable that affected 4,000 telephone lines of the utility in Gulistan-e-Jauhar.
A spokesman of the utility said that the repair work was being supervised by Chief Engineer PTCL Zafrullah Khan Marat. He further said that during KWSB work another underground cable network of the utility in Clifton damaged due to which 2,900 telephone lines were affected.
He said that repair work was underway and most of the affected telephone lines were rectified. He said PTCL regretted over the inconvenience caused to subscribers due to the damage to its network.
