Honduras economy to beat six percent forecast in 2007

The Honduran economy is set to beat a 6 percent growth forecast for 2007 thanks to high global coffee prices, remittances and a robust construction sector, Central Bank Governor Gabriela Nunez said on Friday.
Honduras, the third-poorest nation in the Americas after Haiti and Nicaragua, had been predicting economic growth for 2007 in line with the 6 percent registered in 2006.
