HEALTH UPDATE: computer games affect youth health

The ongoing trend of playing computer games affects the physical health of youth by making them less active. The computer games are attracting the attention of millions of people who prefer interacting in cyber play rather than sitting in front of television, hanging around with friends or playing sports.
"The advent of new technology has affected the play ground activities that were helpful to establish socialisation and interaction among children and adults. Children do not like to go outside to play, and hang on computer for a long time that also cause health problems for them", Mrs Razia, a mother remarked.
Children's popular entertainment has become increasingly hi-tech.
It is the combination of two most important communication technologies that are computer and television and this 'hybrid' is profoundly changing the ways of children's learning and playing activities.
