Calligraphic exhibition opens

The Dean of languages Islamic and oriental learning GC University Lahore, Professor Dr Sohail Ahmed Khan on Thursday inaugurated the calligraphic exhibition of the master pieces of art by Munawar Ibne Nadir-ul-Qalam at the old hall of the University.
As many as 50 masterpieces of calligrapher's art are on the display. The exhibition was organised under the auspices of the library society of the GCU Lahore. Later, Professor Dr Sohail Ahmed Khan had a view of the exhibition and highly eulogised the excellent work portrayed by Munawar Ibne Nadir.
He said that GCU had the tradition of exhibiting art of various artists having distinction in their respective fields simply in order to promote the taste for art, calligraphy and creativity.
Moreover, the debating society of GC University Lahore is holding the Annual Inter-Collegiate Qiraat and Naat contest 2007 in the Bokhari Auditorium of the University on 29th September 2007 (Saturday) at 10:00am.
