Unauthorised person would not be allowed to enter the premises of the Election Commission Secretariat on September 29, on the day of scrutiny of nomination papers for the presidential election.
The Secretary of Election Commission, Kanwar Muhammad Dilshad on Friday drew attention of all concerned to the Rule 4 of the Presidential Election Rules, 1988 and said, only authorised persons can approach the premises of Election Commission.
"Candidates, proposers, seconders and/or their authorised agents shall only be allowed to enter the Election Commission Secretariat to attend the scrutiny proceedings by the Returning Officer on September 29," he said. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be start on Saturday morning in presence of candidates, proposers, seconders or their authorised agents.
Further he stated that "no one shall be allowed to carry mobile phones, cameras, ladies' bags, laser key chains, calculators and batteries inside the Election Commission Secretariat."
