Five percent rise in investment under CFS

Investment under Continuous Funding System (CFS) at Karachi share market on Friday, Sep 28, increased by 5 percent on week-on-week basis to Rs 50.6 billion from Rs 48.2 billion of previous week. The rate surged by 31 bps to 11.12 percent from 10.81 percent registered on the last day of the previous week.
Top five scrips contributing around 42 percent to the total CFS investment were NBP, OGDC, POL, PPL and Engro.
Total open interest (Sep & Oct) at the futures counter closed at Rs 10.8 billion at the rate of 3.15 percent showing an increase of around 45 percent from last week Friday''s closing of about Rs 7.4 billion at the rate of -6.03 percent. The top five companies by open interest were NBP, Lucky Cement, OGDC, POL and PPL contributing 64 percent to October open interest.
