Two bombs defused

The Bomb Disposal Squad of Karachi police claim to have defused two bombs planted along the towers of Hubco transmission line on Sunday. According to SSP Special Branch Karachi, Shahab Mazhar Bhalli, the two bombs planted separately were of four kg each and could have destroyed the high tension wire towers and transmission line.
He said that timely action by the Bomb Disposal Squad averted a lot of damages. The SSP Special Branch said that the Hubco staff patrolling along the transmission line had detected a device near Hub Chowki in the jurisdiction of Gadap police station. The Hubco staff sought the help of the police.
He said that the bomb was made through electric circuit but circuit remained incomplete. The bomb disposal squad defused the device. Shahab Mazhar Bhalli further said that another devise was planted in the jurisdiction of Gadani police station in Balochistan.
He said that this was a time device and also planted along transmission tower. It was defused by the Karachi Bomb Disposal Squad some 20 minutes before time.
