The Institute of Bankers Pakistan (IBP) and the University of Karachi (KU) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for initiating an MBA programme in Banking and Finance. This was announced in a statement of the IBP, issued here on Tuesday.
It said the programme, which was industry-focused, would begin at the KU from the new academic session. An industry-aligned curriculum will be provided by the IBP in addition to the support by the way of capacity building training, supervised internship and publication. KU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui appreciated the role of IBP in creating a bridge between the industry and the academia.
He also spoke highly of the IBP's efforts towards fostering and promoting knowledge. The VC was also of the view that the fast rising demand of the talented human resource for the banks and the financial institutions, the focused MBA banking and finance programme would greatly help towards making available the quality human resource.
