Presidential polls: Sindh Assembly session hall to be declared polling station

The Sindh Assembly session hall, under Rule 9 of the Presidential Order 1988, will be declared polling station for the presidential election being held on Saturday (October 6). Speaker Syed Muzaffar Hussein Shah, before beginning the proceedings of the Sindh Assembly session on Thursday, said that there would be no assembly session on Saturday.
The session hall has been declared polling station. The polling for the presidential elections will begin at 10 am and close at 3 pm. To facilitate the polling procedures, the Sindh Governor will prorogue the current Sindh Assembly session on Friday.
The Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court, Justice Sabihuddin Ahmed, will preside over the poling. The Registrar of the SHC, Election Commissioner, Sindh, and the Secretary of the Sindh Assembly will assist the presiding officer. Entry of the members is subject to showing their assembly cards. The Speaker has asked those members, who do not have the assembly cards, to get it prepared from the assembly secretariat.
