IGP orders special security till Eid

Inspector General Police (IGP) Sindh Ziaul Hassan Khan Thursday directed higher police officials for taking special security measures during the last ten days of Ramazanul Mubarak till Eidul Fitr in the province. He ordered CCPO Karachi Azhar Ali Farooqui and Regional Police Officers of Hyderabad and Sukkur that no stone should be left unturned in this context.
For the purpose, deployment of efficient contingent should be made at main arteries, markets, mosques and Imamgarbahs, sensitive places and installations throughout the province, he said.
Moreover, the police pickets should also be established, while motorcycle and mobile patrolling be intensified and snap checking carried out and the network of secret surveillance through deployment of policemen in plainclothes be activated.
IGP said that the officials must go in the field to monitor deployments and performance of cops so as to raise the moral of force among citizens. He also instructed them for developing closer links with the administration of mosques in their respective areas for taking necessary steps and snap checking on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat during this last week.
