Glasgow university, UVAS discuss collaboration in various areas

A two-member delegation from the Institute of Biomedical and Life Sciences, University of Glasgow, UK, was called on the Vice Chancellor (VC), University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore, Professor Dr Muhammad Nawaz.
The delegation comprising Peter S Meadows and Azra Meadows in the meeting with the VC and senior faculty members discussed various areas of collaboration between the two universities. The VC briefed the visitors about the academic and research programs of the UVAS.
Peter S Meadows gave a presentation on the academic courses of the University of Glasgow and desired collaboration with the UVAS in the areas of mutual interest. They agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding to collaborate in fisheries and aqua-culture, wildlife & ecosystem, diagnostics, nutrition. They also offered to exchange students for training and education.
The delegates also inspected various departments, labs and clinical services of the UVAS, including WTO-Quality Control Lab, University Diagnostic Lab, Pet Centre, Pathology Dept Lab, Post-mortem Teaching Block and Animal Nutrition Dept Lab.
