Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 151,115 tonnes cargo including 116,423 tonnes import, 34,692 tonnes export cargo and 3,225 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Friday.
The cargo comprised of 80,015 tonnes dry cargo including 46,524 tonnes general cargo; 10,845 tonnes fertiliser; 10,619 tonnes coal; 6,500 tonnes rock phosphate; 5,527 tonnes cement and 71,100 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Eight ships namely Wan Hai-305, Kapitan Byankin, CMA CGM Caribbean, Lalazar, Jaikur-1, Zenovia and Akaki sailed out to sea during the report period.
Five vessels viz Golden Arrow-II, Cap Colorado, Hansa Stavanger, Chrysouls S and MT Swat are currently at the berths. One ship namely Hyderabad expected to sail on Friday, while three vessels viz Ltc Calvin P. Titus, Stolt Protector and MT Swat are expected to sail on Saturday.
Three ships namely Despina, Aqua Star and Thor Falcon due to arrive on Friday, while five ships namely Oriental Protea, OEL Spirit, Sima Sahba, OEL Shreyas and Tenth Ocean are due to arrive on Saturday.

The cargo comprised of 200 tonnes LPG; 6,776 tonnes edible oil; 16,543 tonnes coal; 3,700 tonnes chemicals; 4,356 tonnes fertiliser; 880 tonnes cement and 30,345 tonnes containerised cargo. Two ships namely MT Rio Garcia and MT Al-Kortoubi sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another vessel viz MT Lahore Express is expected to sail on Friday.
A total of six ships namely Maersk Novazzano, Saudi Tabuk, Al-Mirqab, Sima Pars, Al-Soor and Vema Ocean carrying containers, diesel oil and furnace oil are currently at the outer anchorage. Eight vessels viz Cap Akritas, Lahore Express, MV Sadwan Island, MV Spar Emerald, MT Harsanadi, MT Rio Garcia, MT Al-Kortoubi and MV Lucy Viship are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, fertiliser, edible oil, chemicals, LPG and coal respectively during last 24 hours.
Three vessels viz MT Al-Soor, CV Maersk Novazzano and MT Qem Star due to take berths at Container Terminal, FOTCO Terminal and Engro Terminal respectively on Friday. Two vessels viz MV Torm Marleene and MT Skipper Ali due to arrive on Friday, while another two ships namely CV MSC Finland and MV Lowlands Sumida are due to arrive on Saturday.
