Cocoa arrivals at Ivory Coast's San Pedro port reached 557,107 tonnes by September 30, 2007, according to data from the Coffee and Cocoa Bourse (BCC) obtained by Reuters on Friday.
This total amount for the October-September 2006/07 season, was roughly 20,000 tonnes less than the 577,204 tonnes shipped through the port during the previous 2005/06 season, the data showed. The figures showed 18,730 tonnes arrived at the port from September 24-30, more than double the 8,121 tonnes in the same period of the 2005/06 season. Data for the port of Abidjan were not immediately available.
