BRIndex30 manages 16.07 points gain

On Friday, the BRIndex30 opened in the green zone, at 15,684.87, with an upward jump gap of 160.67 points, and closed down at 15,540.27, with a net positive change of 16.07 points, or 0.10 percent. It recorded intra-day high of 15,782.71 and low of 15,450.86.
The volume amounted to 229,825,100 shares, which was 79.24 percent of market total and 95.18 percent of KSE-100 index. The volumes of KSE All Share and KSE-100 were 290,047,500 and 241,451,900 shares, respectively.
BR Commercial Banks Index was the most active sector with a turnover of 118,560,700 shares. It closed at 6,134.56 with a net positive change of 20.85 points and percentage change of 0.34. BR Cement Index was the second most active sector. It closed with a turnover of 33,412,300 shares. It closed at 1,897.56 with a net negative change of -20.91 points and percentage change of -1.09.
BR Tech & Comm Index was the third most active sector. It closed at 1,925.33 with a net downward change of -17.87 points and percentage change of -0.92. The volume of this sector was 27,744,800 shares. BR Oil and Gas Index closed at 2,300.26 with a net negative change of -19.67 points and percentage change of -0.85. The volume of this sector was 26,095,100 shares.
BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 1,492.65 with an upward change of 13.45 points and percentage change of 0.91. The turnover for this sector was 5,525,900 shares, which was lowest among BR Indices on the basis of turnover.
