The World Population Foundation (WPF) is organising a two-day "Life skills based education programme: national learning forum. Uniting for change" on October 8 and 9 at a local hotel.
WPF is an international organisation working on reproductive health and rights of young people in Pakistan and focuses mainly on youth and organises programmes for young people (age group of 10 to 24 years), with the aim to address the prevailing vulnerabilities, including limited knowledge about their reproductive health and rights. This segment is more than 60 percent of whole population, therefore, the enhancement of knowledge is extremely important for the social, political and economic development, besides facilitating them for the stability of the country.
Young people are taking number of crucial decisions between the ages of 15 and 24, which have equal chance to create positive and negative impact on their lives, therefore, it is very important to educate them with necessary knowledge and skills and empowering them to take sensible decisions and follow safe behaviours for the rest of their lives.-PR
