30 shops gutted in market fire

At least 30 cloth and crockery shops were gutted when a fire erupted due to short-circuit at Jogian Bara market, in the Cantonment Police jurisdiction, Abbottabad on Sunday.
Asif Gohar Khan, the Station House Officer (SHO) Cantonment Police station told APP over phone that the fire broke out at 10:30 am at Jogian market and quickly engulfed nearby shops and godowns. The SHO said the blaze has caused about Rs30 million losses of properties including homes and valuables. The police and fire fighters, with the help of local people extinguished the flames after two hours of efforts.
