'Electoral process to promote congenial atmosphere'

The Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Muhammad Ali Durrani said on Sunday that the present electoral process would promote the congenial atmosphere in the country through free, fair and transparent elections ensuring a level playing field.
Talking to ARY Channel he said that President Pervez Musharraf would initiate his next term with concrete steps to bury the past confrontation in order to create harmonious atmosphere in the country. Durrani further maintained that the government would devise a consensus strategy with the oppositions in confidence opposition so that nobody could object the outcome of elections.
He said continuity of economic policies would be ensured for further development. The minister said that the first phase of the presidential election was completed smoothly due to the massive support extended by the parliamentarians and people as well.
