08 Oct, 2007

Leader of the opposition in the senate and central leader of Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians, Senator Raza Rabbani on Sunday said that a revolution will start across the country the day Chairperson PPPP lands here on October 18.
Addressing an Iftar-dinner hosted by People's Labour Bureau, Karachi Division. Senator Rabbani said the return of 'Pakistan's daughter' to the country would strengthen democracy with a focus on welfare of the labourers and downtrodden people.
"PPPP is a true representative of labourers and workers and it will be ensured that the employees who were sacked illegally in the name of downsizing are reinstated to their posts," he said.
Senator Raza Rabbani said that as soon as Benazir Bhutto comes into power she would immediately abolish IRO-2002, which he said does not protect the rights of the labourers. He asked the labourers and people from all walks of life to go over all the years of wait in their mind and then come out with all their force on October 18 and set a record of the warmest welcome ever accorded to any leader.
The speech was followed by slogans chanted by a number of party workers present on the occasion.
Earlier, Rashid Rabbani, Khawaja Muhammad Aiwan, Liaquat Mansoor and other party leaders also spoke on the occasion.
