'Take the pessimists to court'

08 Oct, 2007

President General Musharraf has pinpointed the elements who are active again spreading despondency and pessimism among the people at large with some ulterior motives.
General Pervez Musharraf blasted such elements who have nothing positive and concrete to offer, while addressing the Second Annual Moot of the Earthquake Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Authority (ERRA) in Islamabad the other day.
He asked the narrow minded elements to change their negative attitude for the better and see for themselves the rehabilitation and reconstruction work in progress in the earthquake-hit areas of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir.
If these elements cannot do any good themselves then why are they creating obstacles by spreading despondency, pessimism and cynicism among the quake hit people as well as those who are engaged in rehabilitation and reconstruction work in the quake hit areas?
Theses elements should be rebutted spontaneously by the people at large whom they are trying to mislead and misguide by telling them false facts void of reality.
As a matter of fact there should be a law to take such elements spreading despondency, pessimism and cynicism to the courts of law and directly or indirectly hindering the pace of progress, prosperity and development in general and the rehabilitation and reconstruction work in the quake hit areas in particular.
