In order to provide quality of education to children of overseas Pakistanis, the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) has decided to set up more educational institutions in the country.
In this regard, the Foundation would start construction work of buildings of OPF Girls' College, Rawalpindi and two OPF Public Schools, Sheikhupura and Hangu immediately, an official told APP here on Tuesday.
The project, he said, would be completed at a cost of over Rs 200 million. Official said that OPF Board of Governors has also approved the projects of constructing buildings of two girls hostels in Quetta and two schools in Islamabad and Sanghar (Sindh).
He said: "We had started the construction of OPF Girls' College Quetta, and President Musharraf had laid the foundation stone of the college in first week of January this year. The total cost of the college would be around Rs 50 million, which would complete in next year."
Besides, the Foundation is also keen to set up first OPF University in the country, he added. He said the positive measures were being adopted to run OPF educational institutions on professional pattern to meet the needs of the time, adding, these steps would bring better results in future.
