The cheers of the coming Eid still remain colourless for the hundreds of disappointed male and female clients-turned-victims of the Wazirabad-based Syed Sibtul Hassan Shah alias Double Shah.
Talking to the newsmen here on Tuesday, several Double Shah financial scam white-collar victims were of the view that they were unable to go ahead for Eid celebrations without their stuck money. They said there was no chance of enjoyment, as the federal government and the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) have not yet taken any practical step to ensure early payment of the amounts to the Double Shah victims.
The Double Shah clients have again urged the federal government and NAB to make necessary legislation to avert any further Cooperative Societies and Double Shah-like financial scams in the country, which has become a demand of the day and is in the larger interest of the country.
