Anti-Terrorism Court Multan has acquitted the two accused of Chichawatni bomb blast case as the prosecution failed to prove their indulgence in the case and the court ordered to release Akhtar Zia Farooqui and Maqsood Ahmed Teddi. According to police report, three persons died on the spot when the explosive device fell from the carrier of the bicycle.
Later police had arrested Zahid Bashir, Mehr Abdul Jail, Raees-ur-Rehman, Siddique Baba, Akhtar Zia Farooqui and Maqsood Ahmed Teddi while police had got issued the warrants of Amer Mehmood, Allah Yar and Mueen Ahmed. But the prosecution failed to prove their indulgence in plotting.
