Ikramullah Mehsud made envoy to Bahrain

The government has appointed Ikramullah Mehsud as the Ambassador of Pakistan to the Kingdom of Bahrain. Mehsud joined the Foreign Service of Pakistan in April 1979. He has served at the Headquarters as Section Officer (1982-84 & 1986-88), Director (1992-95) and Director General (2003-2004).
He held various diplomatic assignments in Pakistan's Missions at Hague (1984-1986), Moscow (1988-1991), Almaty (1996-2000) and Jalalabad (2001-2002). Presently, Mehsud is serving as the Ambassador of Pakistan to Tajikistan since August 2004.
