NAB submits two new references in Accountability Court

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Sindh on Friday filed two new references in the court of Administrative Judge Accountability Court Karachi. One reference is against accused Inspector Excise and Taxation Asghar Ali Dahar and another against Director Moon Arcade Mehboob Ali Sheikh.
Accused Mehboob Ali Sheikh has been charged for not paying Rs 1.89 million composition/scrutiny fee of Karachi Building Control Authority (KBCA), defaulting in payment of regularisation fees of plot No 16, survey No 164 Deh Safroon (Moon Arcade) Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi amounting Rs 18,986,878 which was later reduced to Rs 8,755,595 after review under Regularisation Amnesty Scheme 2004.
It may be noted that an other accused of same case Abdur Razaque Khamosh had deposited Rs 5,034,467 in national exchequer under plea bargain on June 29, 2007 but accused Mehboob Ali Sheikh Builder Solar Associates did not deposit amount in national exchequer after plea bargain and due to this he committed an other corruption and corrupt practices.
An other reference was filed against Inspector Excise and Taxation Asghar Ali Dahar and junior clerk of same department Ghulam Murtaza Solangi. Accused were charged of taking bribe and corruption.
According to details, Director General NAB received many complaints against officials and staff of Motor Registration Wing, Excise Department regarding taking bribe in documentation of vehicles.
After that a special team of NAB Sindh headed by Judicial Magistrate Asim Khan Lodhi raided and nabbed the accused red handed Rs 44,660 were recovered from the accused.
