Singapore bunker prices climbed on Friday on the back of stronger cargo values and tight supplies, while its differential to fuel oil cargoes remained at a discount for a thirteenth-straight session.
Prices for the 380-centistoke (cst) grade were pegged at $417-$419 a tonne, up $7 from the previous session, while the differential versus cargo prices widened 65 cents to a discount of $3.10 as more buyers were deterred by rising prices. "Tight availability, sky-high paper and cargo values are contributing to rising bunker prices. Demand is moderate," said a supplier.
