THE RUPEE: pound up in Lahore

The Pak rupee-dollar parity remained unchanged amid sluggish trading in the partially opened Lahore currency market on Saturday.
Dealers said the dollar was purchased and sold at overnight closing level of Rs 60.65 and Rs 60.75 respectively. There was no visible change in dollar's value during the day's trading and finally closed at the same level.
On the contrary, the rupee lost against pound sterling. The pound was traded at Rs 122.30 and Rs 122.70 as compared to Rs 121.80 and Rs 122.20 on buying and selling sides, respectively, dealers said.
