The 56th death anniversary of the first prime minister of Pakistan Quaid-e-Millat Liaquat Ali Khan was observed in the country on Tuesday. In Karachi, Quran Khaani was held at his Mazaar. A number of functions are being arranged by different organisations to pay tribute for his contribution in the Pakistan Movement.
In Lahore, a function was held at the Aiwan-e-Karkunan in which prominent scholars and intellectuals recalled the precious contributions of Liaquat Ali Khan for provision of a sound foundation to the country.
